I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe it will be resolved soon by the admin deleting it. If not, my advice is to take it like a man. I dunno how it goes on the Turkey but here there are some offenses which aren't count in your rep sheat. Ofc they don't delete it and if you do something the police and other departments of the justice system will know about it and will take it into consideration when judged again, but those doesn't count if one wants a "moral certificate" which certain jobs demand. Our grape "harvest" is very promising, turned out nicely, I'd glad I put much work in it (and money for the chemicals to spray).

>>285 I liek apples.
>have no time or energy to do something with them Too bad. You could have made cider.
But beside eating as is, maybe you can introduce some variety into your diet. Sometimes I liek to grate one in my eggs.
Scrambled eggs but not savory but sweet: little sugar, little salt, and a grated apple (to three eggs). Tastes really good.
Maybe you could offer them to local zoo, I suppose quite a few animals can chow on them. Maybe ask for a free ticket in return, or two and bring the grill you carpool with.

>>286 I dun goofed the recipe. So here it is:
- 3 eggs
- little sugar
- little flour(!), maybe one spoon per eggs
- 1 apple grated
Scramble the whole thing then fry it in oil.

I commented both, to the first that he looked like a hooligan, the second I replied Turan is stronk in him.
Now this second guy's picture was posted again.

The black dude's is a frontal "headshot". The hooligan was a full one in a commieblock apartment or some such I assume.

No.
I was talking about two pictures of two different dudes. Both Polish. Well, were posted under Polanball, maybe it was the same poster who did I cannot now.
Pic #1 - on a corridor of a flat, guy standing at a doorway opening on the side of the corridor, thin dude, he's wearing a tracksuit and his face is covered, probably a scarf/bandana something like this, I don't think it was a ski mask, maybe was I don't remember now, the piece of cloth was dark
Pic #2 - a photo of the face of a guy, most likely sitting in front of a laptop and just took a shoot with the cam above the screen, wearing dark clothes, shoulders show but otherwise just the face, nothing covers it, he has black hair and beard with stache and dark eyes
I can't describe it more precisely.

>>349 What would you do with grapes?
Bernd 08/28/19 (Wed) 05:30:49 No. 365
>>362 What do you mean?
What use we have? We eat it, there's too little for wine and I don't really have the necessary equipment or barrels (demijohns are fine too tho).
What would I do to preserve them more? I'm pretty sure the blight comes from another plant in the near, so I have to preserve that better. Keep cleaner garden, with more air an sunshine. I kinda left vegetation and weed growing too much which helps various fungi (mold types and such) spread. Also more pesticide…
Bernd 08/28/19 (Wed) 07:43:09 No. 368
>>365 >What use we have? Yes, that was the question. If you got amount that you can just eat, it is ok. I'm asking because often people harvesting more than could eat until the food is spoiling.
For example, I've gathered some gooseberry and blackcurrant (not my own actually, but friend asked to collect some because she had too much), and ended with freezing most of them because I couldn't eat them in time (even considering that I made drink with them). But they are compact and could be placed in refrigerator. Same problem exist with apples, but there are no place to store them.
Considering grapes, I know only about using them in wine (of course), juice and simple eating.
Bernd 08/28/19 (Wed) 15:41:42 No. 373
>>368 Different fruits demands different treatment.
Grapes can stay on the vines for a while. If illnesses don't attack them they could simply just hang until it's freezing. They would loose water eventually, turning into raisins slowly (some wineries leave them out until they get bitten by the frost which makes them more sweet, only then they make wine out of them, they call the final product icewine). We leave them there and only bring as much we eat at one sitting. Sometimes we press juice (
must ) out of them and drink that, like last year. We don't have too much (liek a dozen vines or so) and just treat them as something that can be eaten only seasonally.
Fruits growing on trees however will drop by themselves if not harvested - and decay on the ground. So they need to be eaten or processed. Alcohol (spirits or cider) is one way, we do it with plums for example. But from plums I also tried and succeeded to make fruit leather (you can see it in the cooking thread on end/kc, I think grapes could be made into fruit leather too), which basically dried fruit without the peel. I think drying is the less work intensive processing. Canning or making jam demands much time.
So I leave that to my me mom. I think with your apples your best bet would be drying. Slice them thin and put them to a place with much direct sunlight and breeze. Alternatively driers can be purchased (needs electricity, but in a commieblock that would be the way). Then store them in a dry place, maybe in paper or cotton/canvas bags. Sadly, I don't have experience in drying apples.
Berries, you can freeze them as you did, or making jam. Or syrups(!) but again I've no experience in that. Also one great way to consume them is milkshake.

I still don't know what to do, but at least I found some people who like apples and gave them few dozens, so burden is lessened.
>Berries, you can freeze them as you did, or making jam. Or syrups(!) but again I've no experience in that.I've did something like mors:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mors_(drink) Got juice using colander and muscle power, took remains, boiled it for few minutes with small amount of sugar, then separated liquid and added juice from first step. It was relatively good, although this thing aren't good for long term storage. But storing frozen berries is ok for me.

>>384 Those are very nice vines, healthy leafs as far as I can tell. I wish ours were like that.
Dehydrators can be used to dry other foodstuff, and they need only some water and heat to re-hydrate them.
Apples can be stored for a few months in cool (but not freezing), dry places. They will evaporate moisture and dry slowly and become less appetizing but still consumable. Maybe even until spring. We get our apples from the market or from acquaintances, sometimes in "larger" quantities, we put them such place and we hope for the best. And end up throwing out part of it.
I think some strain of apples are better for this than others.

I mentioned I had a long distance relationship. She is good but her love is starting to hurt me bad. I broke up with her she insisted to stay together as she is innocent romantic girl. But she pressured me too hard.. I also miss my ex-gf. I thought she was cheating on me (around time where I open this thread) but a few months after I learned that. It's so hard.. so much injustice for her. So much love.. I ruined everything for nothing. My heard cannot handle this. I used to belittle such feelings but now I truly understand.

>>688 Yeah. That's hard. And we have to go through it to learn. It's part of being a human bean. Some people can get over things quick (are they superficial? or good at compartmentalization?), some find it harder. Some never learn and trudge in the same thing over and over after numerous partners.

Welp, I did it bernd. I bought a fucking house. I feel so sick I could puke. My Nana gave me money for a deposit and I bought a house that needs repairs. I paid a guy to find me a mortgage and he found one that just scraped the house price with deposit. I didn't think I would get one and my options were limited but I got there, even on my meager slave monies. I couldn't afford a house that was already fixed up so this is pretty much my best chance to not be an evicted and homeless old man. Holy fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! The urge to wank myself to sleep and hide in bed all day is severe! Pictures will come soon.

Fixing it up then will need some effort but don't give up. It's actually good way of gaining some capital. I know a family who buys a house, move in, fix it up, sell, buy next, move in, fix it up, sell… They have other gigs but this is one way of earning for them.
